Fantasy Strike is a fighting game that is built from the ground up to be more accessible than the average fighting game. It eschews complex input combos in favor of simple inputs that are reminiscent of Super Smash Bros., allowing almost every move to be performed with the press of a button. Players can escape grapples by simply not pressing any inputs. Health is represented by well-defined individual health points. The game boasts 10 characters, eight of which are available as of the Early Access launch, that are divided into four classes and a set of five stages, with more in development. Game modes include Arcade, local Versus, and GGPO-powered online Versus modes; both matchmaking and direct challenges issued to friends are available for online Versus matches. More game modes are currently in development.
- Accessible gameplay – simplified controls make Fantasy Strike more accessible than other fighting games.
- Ten characters – choose from a varied cast of ten colorful characters that are divided into four classes.
- A variety of game modes – play against AI in the Arcade mode or go head to head against other players in either local or online Versus modes.
