Batch 17’s Kickstarter Campaign Has Begun

I’ve been watching Batch 17 for some time now. The open-world online multiplayer shooter continues to look more and more promising as time goes on. Now, with only a few estimated months left of development to go, Baffled Games has taken to Kickstarter to fund an increase in production for the last little bit of development. The goal is set at $10,000 with several stretch goals noted, including additional levels, salvaging, and “sandbox mode PvP.” Backers can get the game for a mere $7 during the Kickstarter, with higher backer tiers offering a chance to name a boss or even create one from scratch—similar offers are available for items.

For those of you who haven’t heard of Batch 17 before, you can read more about it in my brief tour with lead developer Benjamin McCallister. The article discusses, among other aspects, the game’s approach to PvP and the small element of randomness that goes into each of its encounters.

You can find more information about the campaign or pledge money to it on the official Kickstarter page.
